About

I have a problem that has slowly spiraled out of control over the course of the last decade.

My stack of shame is huge. The number of video games that I own and haven’t finished is out of control.

Partly inspired by CRPG Addict, I’ve decided to try to motivate myself to shrink the stack, documenting it as I go.

  1. Hey, I’ve been searching for a ‘championship joystick’ like yours for a while now and I was wondering where you got yours and if yours was actually for sale. Thanks 🙂

    • Hi Sam — sorry for the late reply.

I don’t recall where I got my original one. Probably at an Electronics Boutique or Software Etc. I know I bought it new and it must have been sometime around 1993. I got it specifically for Street Fighter II, though I ended up using for a lot of games, like Star Fox, Final Fantasy 2 & 3, Super Mario Kart, etc.

I picked up a second one last year off of Craigslist. I got it for something like $20 and I had to repair it. There was a break somewhere in one of the wires in the cable. I replaced the entire cable with one from a lousy third-party controller.

And no, neither of mine are for sale. They do show up on eBay every now and then, though. You might try looking on some retro game auction sites as well.
